I was inspired to act when I saw Earle Hyman play Othello at the St. Louis Rep. When he cried, “O, blood, blood, blood!” I got chills. I knew: I want to do that.
Training with Stella Adler for two years changed my life.
High points since then include an Obie for Mac Wellman’s I Don’t Know Who He Was, and I Don’t Know What He Said; ABC TV’s, What Would You Do?; solo plays Wild Man, and Wild Man in Rome at Wild Project; Henry in Samuel Beckett’s Embers at the Connolly; Susan Mosakowski’s Cities Out of Print at Manhattan Theatre Club and Nighttown at The Flea; and Michael John Garcés’s Customs at INTAR.
Director of the Theatre Program at Fordham University at Lincoln Center from 2006 to 2019, and Head of Acting until 2023. I’m proud of our legion of working graduates. Currently training with Jon Shear in his on-camera workshop.
